I can’t seem to get in the zone at the moment. And I’m definitely going way over my syn limits pretty much every day.
I know what I’m doing wrong, but I can’t help myself.
My only mitigation, and the one thing that stops me going crazy, is to keep going to my Slimming World class. I might be maintaining or gaining, but I know if I didn’t go to class I’d be way worse!
So by keeping going to class I can hopefully keep in a holding pattern, until I find my mojo again.
Having put on weight this week in class, I was really shocked to get Slimmer of the Month for my group.
❤️
How about trying to keep the food on an even keel, don’t make any drastic changes, but start a new exercise challenge? Walking, c25k, don’t know if you like cycling etc?
Thanks Lucy. You’re right in that I need to do something to shake things up – I just don’t know what quite yet. I already cycle to work every day – about 5 miles each way – so I get a bit of exercise. I also try to get out of the office for a walk at lunchtime, even if it’s just for 10 minutes to see a bit of sunshine and get a few steps in.
I’m sure I’ll re-discover my determination soon. I just need to avoid doing any damage in the mean time!
That’s a great amount of exercise! I went back to group last night, I like this group and have bought a 6 week countdown so hoping I will stick with it. Yeah I’m sure you’ll get back to it! Like you say, damage limitation is a good plan. Do you keep your food diaries, have you got the option to look back at a time when you feel you were doing really well, you could repeat a week of food or rediscover recipes you haven’t done for a while?
